Feel at Home
The Benjamin Young Inn is elegant, but retains an atmosphere that is welcoming, laid-back and relaxed. We want all of our guests to feel at home and comfortable. Our five rooms are unique, spacious and have beautiful views of either the river and/or the wooded hillside neighborhood. We have cozy beds, fluffy towels and luxury linens. Each room has blackout curtains or 1888 original room darkening shutters. We also have plush throw blankets for every bed so you can be extra comfy while reading a book or watching a show on your tablet. 4 of the 5 guest bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor and only accessible by staircase except for, The Carolyn which is located on the 1st floor. Our house has a minimum of four steps to get to the front door. Every bedroom has their own private bathroom with a shower. The house has cozy old-fashioned radiant heat and the windows have antique wavy glass making everything look a little more dreamy. For those who love white noise and/or air flow, be at ease we have a tower fans in every bedroom and screens for the windows. For your connivence we have a guest refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, along with a variety of teas, and hot chocolate that are centrally located in the sunny alcove on the 2nd floor.

reviews
Staying here was the highlight of my trip up the west coast. I can’t stop thinking of the amazing cream cheese stuffed french toast they served on Sunday morning. Very convenient to have a fridge with sparkling waters and a place to store our left overs. The rooms were full of character and charm. While in town I recommend the Column. Another highlight for me was walking down the path along the railroad (the river walk) to the town center for dinner one night. Love the family stories from the host!
As an avid supporter of Victorian B&Bs, the whole experience was excellent. From the beautiful architecture, the charming old windows, doors that challenge your brain to work, my favorite heating system (that doesn’t trigger my dustmite allergy), to the hospitality of the innkeepers and delicious breakfast- all made me feel welcome and wishing to return. My evening was delighted by drinking the tea in the formal living room and reading the heavy book with the history of the family who built the house. Thank you for allowing me to take that delicious cardamom bread to go!
My husband and I spent 5 days at Benjamin Young B & B and loved every minute. Emma is a perfect host making sure we were very comfortable and she’s loads of fun to talk with. The breakfasts were delicious every morning. Really enjoyed talking with other guests too! I highly recommend staying here for a special experience.

Best Front Porch
Plenty of seating for a group porch gathering, vacation happy hour for two or with friends, or a great spot to read a book.
Front Exterior
The Benji in the early spring. Purple flowers cover the rest of the side garden and yard.
